Location-based mobile Learning

Location-based mobile learning (LBML) is a type of mobile learning in which learning takes place across multiple spatial contexts, with content being explicitly related to the learner’s location. Spatio-temporal data recorded  from moving learners in educational contexts can help instructors to control and evaluate the learning process at different stages, such as in real-time involving social or process interactions or posterior in debriefing sessions.

In the MIE Lab, we explore and develop methods to derive the necessary information from the learners’ spatio-temporal movement data by means of mining and visual analytics.
